Mr. Bernstein resides in St. Petersburg, Florida with his wife Real Estate Agent Yasminda and is the father of two, Jeremiah and Genesis. He is an active member of the community and is dedicated to the people of the Tampa Bay area.

Attorney Derek Bernstein attributes his ability to relate to people on his upbringing. He didn’t grow up coming from wealth and prosperity. His father was a plumber in New York while his mother worked for Walt Disney world in Kissimmee, Florida. Playing sports was a pivotal part of his childhood which allowed him to grow up around people from different ethnic backgrounds, financial situations and ideologies. When you sit down with Attorney Bernstein and tell him you are struggling paying bills after a car crash or how difficult a ticket or divorce is treating your family, you are talking to a person who will treat you as a human being and not just the next invoice.
